What is Read Ready DAYTON?
Read Ready Dayton is a city-wide early literacy initiative that unites families, schools, and local partners like the City of Dayton and Dayton Schools. We provide universal access to resources and fun, real-world activities for children from birth to age five, ensuring every child arrives at kindergarten ready to learn.

Universal Supports
We offer essential, foundational resources for all families, including free book subscriptions, library cards, parenting tips, and digital learning tools for early brain development
COMMUNITY-LED EVENTS
We host fun, free, and engaging local activities to encourage learning, including story times, music and movement, and pop-up learning spaces.
COLLABORATIVE NETWORK
We collaborate with a comprehensive network of partners, including healthcare providers, libraries, and city partners, to wrap families and children in support.

Yes! Thanks to our partnership with your city, there is absolutely no cost to you. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
Do we need an internet connection to use the apps?
Only for the initial registration and to download the content. Once the books and games are on your device, you can use them offline anywhere.

How much time should my child spend on the apps?
We recommend just 15-20 minutes a day. Consistent, short sessions are a powerful way to build skills and confidence without too much screen time.
