What is
Read Ready NEWPORT?
Read Ready Newport is a city-wide early literacy initiative that brings together families, caregivers, and community partners to build a city of readers. We provide every Newport family with access to resources and fun, real-world activities for children from birth to age five, ensuring every child arrives at kindergarten ready to learn.

Universal Supports
We offer essential, foundational resources for all families, including free book subscriptions, library cards, parenting tips, and digital learning tools for early brain development
COMMUNITY-LED EVENTS
We host fun, free, and engaging local activities to encourage learning, including story times, music and movement, and pop-up learning spaces.

We connect families with specialized, high-impact developmental and home learning programs like Every Child Succeeds and First Steps for children from prenatal care through age five.
